i’m julia jael monning

Dancer, Psychosomatic Physiotherapist, Creative being

I have lived and worked in dance and healthcare for many years in some of the most densely populated cities of the world: Paris, New York City, Rotterdam.

In many ways, health has become a matter of efficiency. However, many of today’s health problems are rooted in lives that are lived with maximum efficiency and in a rush. More and more of health problems we see today, are the results of years of physical and emotional stress, plus worsening environmental conditions and socioeconomic pressures.

They are the body’s way of reacting to a world that’s becoming increasingly unhealthy. Research from many fields (neuroscience, physiology, hormones, the immune system, psychology, sociology, environmental studies, politics, philosophy and more) shows the same thing: the fast-paced way we live today takes a huge toll on our human organism.

“many of today’s health problems are rooted in lives that are lived with maximum efficiency and in a rush”

Moving to the Swedish countryside with my family in 2024, I was deeply reminded of the importance of having a safe space and time. I remembered how much our wellbeing depends on our living environment, connection and kinship. It is here that I felt the freedom and courage to no longer be a part of the rushed efficiency of today’s healthcare systems, start my own practice and fully embrace my creativity.

Julia has helped many clients to reconnect with their body and regain a sense of self.
